If you are considering chartering a yacht in Croatia, then one of the first decisions you need to make is what type of yacht charter to choose: bareboat, skippered or crewed.
BAREBOAT YACHT CHARTER– you charter a yacht and skipper it by yourself. Sailing experience adequate to the boat’s size and recognized license are the only conditions for booking this type of charter.

SKIPPERED YACHT CHARTER – you charter a yacht and hire a local skipper to manage it for you. Benefit from skipper’s local knowledge about the most interesting places to visit, the most beautiful bays for swimming, the most fun nightlife spots and the restaurants offering the most delicious local delicacies. If you wish, the skipper can also teach you a bit of sailing.

CREWED YACHT CHARTER – you charter a yacht and hire a local crew: skipper and hostess. The skipper will take care of the navigation and the hostess will buy groceries, prepare breakfast and light lunches, wash dishes, clean the galley and the cockpit.

The starting point to decide between the mentioned types is considering whether you are an experienced and licensed sailor or not. If the answer is affirmative, you can book a bareboat yacht charter, but you can also opt for skippered or crewed charter if you want more relaxing holidays. If you are not a licensed and experienced sailor, then skippered or crewed charter are the two options to choose between.
In the following blogs you can read a more detailed description of each type of yacht charter with specifications of the costs involved.
